When I try to play video clips I get the message "Windows media player has encountered a problem and will have to shut  down." It was working fine before I started viewing some of the Tsunami videos posted here.

I ran Adaware and Norton, but the problem is still there. On the other hand, if I right-click and save to my harddrive I can play the video; I just can't play it straight off the net.

Anybody else have this problem?

Usually a restart will take care of the problem. If not, restore back to before you incountered the problem.

Try winamp, or

VLC media player- vlc is open source- so they don't care about the codex and DRM.....VLC will play damn near anything...

google for it, or try sourceforge.net
