Well my kids had the day off from school today and managed to get my computer infected with this malware virus. |
|
Just fought this battle over the weekend on one of our computers that got badly hijacked. Malwarebytes from a USB was a no go - would run but missed the infection. System Restore from a 2 day old restore point fixed what mwb and spybot couldn't. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

If your ever this way I owe you a beer! ![]() |

malwarebytes, it works above and a thumb drive worked great for me I didn't think you can run malwarebytes on a thumbdrive.... I've always ran it off a LiveCD Didn't run it off drive , wasn't able to down load from malwarebytes with infected computer but was able to save to td off another computer and then install on infected puter |

I had to deal with that piece of sh*t earlier this week. F'n scumbags.
I did it without using a thumb drive by editing the registry to remove the commands that run the program on startup, etc. Then restarted and ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Program. Follwed instructions and links to freeware here: How to Remove Antivirus 2010 I bookmarked that guy's blog for future reference DeleteMalware Blog |

Well my kids had the day off from school today and managed to get my computer infected with this malware virus. Don't blame the kids. This was all your fault for letting them browse the internet on an Administrator account. You should have set up a Guest account for them to use so nothing could be installed no matter how hard they tried. If you don't know what I'm talking about then you need to take a night class and learn how to use the features and settings right in front of you. And if your do know what I'm talking about then you failed to take basic precautions before handing your PC over to the children. |

The main goal of Antivirus 2010 is to trick you into purchasing the full version of the program. Of course, you shouldn't do that. This is nothing more but a scam because it prompts you to pay for a full version of the program to remove the threats which don't even exist in the first place.
Since you have to send $ somewhere, the destination should be traceable. So why aren't these fuckers dead?

http://www.malwarebytes.org/ This program gets it all out. I tried McAfee, Spybot, TrendMicro and they all left parts behind. The free program above was the only things that worked. |
