Any reputable companies make windshield glass to OEM standards without the OEM price?

My fiance has used SAFELITE for her last 2 windshields and the stuff is junk.

Thanks!

There's Carlite - from Canada, I think.  2 Windshields?  Is she doing a little highway hunting?

AZ has a lot of trucks on the major highways....most of them refuse to put mudguards on their vehicles. When she travels to and from school about 50 miles on a daily basis it is bound to happen.

Not to mention, it doesnt help that AZ is all rocks and sand.

BTW, do LOTS of shopping.  The vent glass that a downtown shop wanted $35 for, I found at an out of the was discount place for around !8.  Somehow I found the invoice from their distributor (inside the cardboard, I think) and they had paid $6 or 7 for it.

It might be a little more competitive on a windshield.

I don't know off the back of my hand but last week I did a windshield replacement when a Portable basketball hoop tipped over and the hoop went through my windshield. Yep, stuck right into it. My insurance CO. paid for it but the replacement looks just like the original.

I had one replaced a couple of years ago.
I don't know how much of this is true but it was what I was told.  Anyway they told me the best windhield glass is Crinimax PPG or LOS (both are factory glass).  Looks like I'm due to replace one this month.

PPG or LOF (Libby, Owens and Ford)
