| Only 4 months? I haven't responded to my ex-wife in 3 years and she still sends me messages. Now she is saying she was young, foolish, and made mistakes. That's a bullshit excuse as she was 25 or so when we got married. But even if true it is a mistake she is going to have to live with her entire life. |

OP, if you are over her then a text wouldn't bother you.
She text'd you because she may have been dumped or she just wants to see if you are her puppet on a string and will do her bidding. I can tell you one thing, they hate being ignored so DO NOT respond to her text. Any kind of response shows her she can still get to you. Women love mind games and you said it yourself, the last 4 months have been great. |

I was married, bitch sent me a dear john letter while I was on deployment, I made my peace with the drama before I got back to the states, so I was good to go. Dad offered to have his lawyer handle the paperwork, no problem, thanks!
Yeah, that guy wanted $1300 for the process. I said I will just hold off for now, he said okay it'll be here waiting when you need it, just pay and be done with it. I never saw her anyway, got out of the Navy and lived on the other side of town, went for over a year like that. Then one day I got that same call you got, 3 in the morning on a Sunday, I need to talk to you, I'm coming over. I sat with her and we talked till after dawn, she poured her heart out, she was changed and knew how she had fucked up, etc. She left smiling with a hug and a small kiss. The next day I was at the lawyers office first thing, with all the money I had to my name, "Gimme those papers, Mr. Lawyer man!!" I met her for coffee next door to my bank, busted out the paperwork and went to the bank to get the signatures notarized before her head stopped spinning. I realized she didn't have a clue what was going on until afterwards, when we were standing in the parking lot and I went to shake her hand. It hit her, and she visibly deflated and couldn't get her keys in the door. Man that felt good. |
