I am in the middle of planning a new desk for my work station.  Moving from a townhome into a house so I have a place for it finally!  However, I have run into an issue and I am not sure on how to complete what I am looking for.

To start:

I am building a corner desk.  The left and right part will each be 36" x 24". the Corner" area will be 18" wide at the part closest to me, and from what I believe from the center (9") it should be 32 1/2" deep.  Each end being 42" long to meet the right and left side.  I understand this is going to be a big desk, as what I am going for.

I plan on using 1" thick wood, to be finished with stain and clear coat.  Legs will most likely be 1"x 4" cornered "L" shape or something close to.I will be bracing the joints with some sort of L bracket that I will either make or find at the department store.  The base desk is not the issue I am running into.  I printed some graphing paper and using each block as a 2" x 2" reference, I think it has been fairly easy. I have my welding certificate so I am versed in blueprints however I do not use this task with my employment now.

The issue I am running into is that I want a mounted dual monitor brace to not have my monitors on the desk itself.  I understand I could purchase one, but what I am looking for is going to be expensive.  I would like to make my own since I want this entire project to be personalized, end result in being an awesome piece that I actually did myself.  On the picture below, the blueprint shows a 3" hole near the corner in which I planned on having the brace to mount to the desk, some sort of way, but possibly devising some sort of C Clamp thing.  I was thinking of using 3" PVC as the neck support for my mount, then using 3 1/2 inch PVC for each arm mount to the neck.  I will most likely have some sort of screw in lock or locking pin that would go through the neck and mount.

As for the arm, the qualities I need will be adjustable height, accomplished by the bigger PVC mount on the neck, adjustable side to side motion, hopefully accomplished by a second swing arm (like your elbow moving your forearms) and tilt capabilities for the actual monitor, accomplished by some soft or device that will have a certain degree of adjustment.

Here is the blueprint I drew up for the base desk, and all I have for the Monitor Support System is the neck, so no picture needed.  However, the next picture is the general idea, however, self made.

I would appreciate either finding a place to provide the mounting hardware not over $100 dollars or someones input on how the best way to DIY.

ETA: The monitors are ASUS 23" LED.
