I got a great multipurpose vise for Christmas, and I'm planning to build a traditional woodworking bench to use. I'll eventually get a more dedicated woodworking vise to fit flush against the bench, but for now I want to mount the one I have for best use.
So my question is, how & where would you mount this vise 
on this bench (minus the vises shown, I don't have those yet):

On that specific bench nowhere. Reason why is you probably have it in the corner or at least against a wall. So that prevents you from using one of the non-used corners for it. You will find it obtrusive to your work if you put it between the other two clamps that are already on the bench. I recommend that you either put it in the garage or just build another bench for it.
Personally I wouldn't use it for wood working as they are more hassle than their worth. You have to build jaw inserts so it won't mark up your project and just over kill if since you already have two wood block clamps. If you need more clamps invest in bar/pipe clamps so you can glue up your projects and set them to the side. |

I don't have any vises on it yet. However you're right that it would be obtrusive once I do get some woodworking vises. I thought of mounting the vise I have now to a piece of plywood and clamping it to the bench when I need it. |
