I need to get the wires out of the way. Do the wireless controllers work as well as the hardwired controllers? Maximum distance from the console would be about 20ft.

Can anyone recommend a good wireless for the XBOX?

The Logitech one is great.  Their wireless headset didn't get a good score in the Xbox magazine though.  I've heard great things about the controller though.

I just got a Logitech one about three weeks ago and have had ZERO problems thus far.

THe el cheapo wireless controllers I have for the PS2 have had a number of problems.

This is from ~15 feet.

No wireless will be as good as the regular IMO.  Too much upkeep.

Isn't there a no-Luddite posting rule around here?

Get the extensions for the cords, and route them out of the way.

(I'm looking for a set since my 18 month old Pretty Pink Bulldozer daughter seems to enjoy stepping on the cords and D/C'ing them - usually just when ol' dad's about the get the kill shot on a level boss...)

I was in a bar a while back that had wireless controllers on their XBox and they seemed to work well but I don't know what brand they were.

And just for the record, I'm not into sports games but XBox Madden football on a widescreen TV in a bar is pretty kick ass.

I forget what brand it is, but the $40 one I got al Wally world seems to work alright.

Just keep good batteries in it.

What's an XBOX? Is that a new term for the ex-wife?

I bought the Pelican Brand 2.4 Gig wireless at Wallyworld for $27.  It works well so far, had it about a month now.  The vibration motors aren't as strong, but the 2.4 gig is great!  Goes through walls, the dog, etc.

I love it.  I have about 15 feet of  open space between my chair and the Console.  Just enough to where the cable would be off the floor just enough for the dog to get tripped up in it.  So, the wireless controller is great.  Sure I could have moved the console onto the floor, or moved the chair a foot closer, but where's the fun in that!?

I got a logitech for christmas.  I love it so far.  I got the headset too, and its good.  I like it better than the xbox one.  I can walk across the house(100 feet or so) and still hear it just fine.  It doesnt like my microwave being on though.

Got the wireless ones for my PS2 in my truck.  I guess them work fine.

Thanks for the input. I have the cord extension but it tends to hang above the floor and the daughter's cat pulls the plug.

I've got a Pelican wireless controller. After adjusting the control sensitivity, it works fine. Just make sure there isn't anyone else nearby using one on the same frequency, otherwise you'll get interference.

Words cannot describe how pissed I get when I am desperately trying to shoot someone in HALO 2 multiplayer and not only will it not shoot when I pull the trigger, it keeps trying to make a right turn off a cliff. I died three times while changing frequencies until I found the one nobody was using.
