I settle in for a long night of gaming on Live. Things do not go as planned, per usual. Go to log in, and nope, can't. Says my account is suspended, and to access Account Managment to correct the issue. (Quck check of email for the Live account shows they are having a problem with a card on there. Probably expired. Would have thought it would roll over to the other card in the account, but whatever...) Anyway, I access Acccount Managment, and hit Memberships, screen goes black, and bam. I'm back looking at the Dashboard, unsigned in. Problem is you can't access the Acct Mgmt page unless you are signed in. But, since my account is suspended, it won't log in. So, I hit the website, log in there, and while you can't do anything with credit cards, you can redeem those time and MS Point cards. Excellent! I've been wanting to get one of the kick ass Red Controllers anyway. So, I gear up and head to Wal-Mart. (For the wal-mart CCW detail fans: 11PM Sat night, Stainless CZ75B, 33 rounds of S&B 115gr FMJ in a High Noon Holster and mag pouch. No blading or disengaging needed, no explosive dirahrea in the bathroom, sorry.) Anyway, get the card and controller. Wait in absurdly long and slow line. Get home, power up the XBox, scrape the silver shit off the card, log into the website, input the code: DENIED! Grumble grumble. Well, guess I can play some offline games tonight, see if the card works tomorrow. Otherwise, I guess I'll get to call India at some point.... Edited to add Red Controller goodness. (man, I need to dust. Errr, rather I need to get the Asian Love Slave(tm) out of her cage, make her dust!)  |

ooooo. I found the credit card info on the site. So, I can correct the card info. Actually, I think I'll remove the cards, cancel the pending subscription, and then try my pre-paid card again...Perhaps that will get me in. Really itching for some CoD4 tonite.... |

I had the same issue due to my previous cc being stolen. The re-up email got filtered and my account locked. I called and spoke to numerous people and in the end they said I had to create a new account as the old one was to be deleted. I can still bring up the stats and log in online, it's not deleted just in the netherworld apparently. Foooookin Xbox people suck.. |

I dunno if it hadn't be activated yet after buying it, or if it was cause my account was suspended. In order to cancel the account that was pending payment, you have to contact Customer Support. So, in the end, I wound up putting in a different credit card, and paying for it that way. Now, I have a year of Live on this pre-paid card. I hope it stays good for a year, and I'll use it next time, I guess. |

For some reason, under a flash, it has that funky matte grey look. In natural light, it's a deep and shiny black like the controller. That Red controller is freaking bright as well! Especially when sitting on the black Elite on the black table there....practically glows.  Here it is with my DS in a better lit shot:  To continue my Live woes....in CoD4 this evening, my mike wasn't working, and everyone was muted. I checked all the settings, and they were all good, and you could hear the mike pop as I plugged it into either controller...not sure what's going on with that. So, for the arfcommers in teh game this evening, that's why I wasn't yakking away. |
