One of the things it suffered from was too high a rate of fire. They decided supply chains couldn't keep up with the need for ammo if it were fielded.

RoF selectable by rheostat, stabilized-mount CROWS type system (with manual backup) on an MRAP or JLTV-size vehicle...same ammo as the SAW, and heck! since it's not using the fired cartridge energy to cycle, it's the perfect vehicle for M855A1 and its insane pressure curve!
