I am having problem with my xbox and i cant find anyone that can help so im asking here. This is the problem I can play it for 20-30 minutes but after that if I try to open the tray it will stup off. Then if i try to turn on the power the grenn light on it will flash Red and Green and nothing will show up. If I wait about an hour everything will work again. I already tried replacing the DVD-Rom but that didnt help it. What else could it be? Thanks Cody |
| When my Xbox gave the christmas lights like that, I'd forgotten to plug everything in right. The fact that it happens after so much time suggests that it's a heating issue but the error code for that is constant orange I think. Try unplugging the HDD and DVD drive, both power and IDE connections, and plugging them back in nice and tight. If that's not it, I have no idea. Was it doing that before you opened it yourself (assuming you did)? Have you modded it or anything? Also see if there's a fan on top of the GPU heatsink, and try putting a fan by the Xbox to blow on it if it's in a tight space. |
yes the problem was there before I opened thats the reason I opened it. I have always had it in a somewhat of a tight place and never had the problem before. At first I thought it was the dust from Iraq but I opened and cleaned it out really good and it made it a little better but the problem was still there. Thanks for the info |
