I am having problem with my xbox and i cant find anyone that can help so im asking here.

This is the problem I can play it for 20-30 minutes but after that if I try to open the tray it will stup off. Then if i try to turn on the power the grenn light on it will flash Red and Green and nothing will show up. If I wait about an hour everything will work again.

I already tried replacing the DVD-Rom but that didnt help it. What else could it be?

Thanks
Cody

While I don't know, I have seen a lot of power supplies for sale on eBay. Could that be t issue?

When my Xbox gave the christmas lights like that, I'd forgotten to plug everything in right. The fact that it happens after so much time suggests that it's a heating issue but the error code for that is constant orange I think. Try unplugging the HDD and DVD drive, both power and IDE connections, and plugging them back in nice and tight. If that's not it, I have no idea. Was it doing that before you opened it yourself (assuming you did)? Have you modded it or anything? Also see if there's a fan on top of the GPU heatsink, and try putting a fan by the Xbox to blow on it if it's in a tight space.

yes the problem was there before I opened thats the reason I opened it.

I have always had it in a somewhat of a tight place and never had the problem before.

At first I thought it was the dust from Iraq but I opened and cleaned it out really good and it made it a little better but the problem was still there.

Thanks for the info

I'm stumped. Look for an Xbox modders' website, some of them are sure to know.

Yeah that was what I was going to do but the problem is that all of those websites are blocked

Try http://www.llamma.com/ to see if it's blocked.  It might get through the filter as it's not just a mod site.
