I don't understand how people use these "single-cup" coffee makers... I use a single pot coffee maker...a Bunn...I drink it, and brew more. I hear ya. A C-Note for a coffee pot that makes over priced single cups of coffee is just a waste in my opinion. Not overpriced. Not one bit. |

I like regular old Folgers original. I drink about two pots of coffee a day and if I used one of those expensive ass single cup makers I would be broke. ETA: This is only based off using the one at my mother in law's house. The price on those boxes of little cups blew my mind, especially when I was drinking one of her boxes every day when I was there to visit. |

No, its for people that like a good cup of coffee without dealing with all the things that normally make it a pain in the ass to achieve at home. That's it. |

Folgers runs $10 for a large can at Costco, making it run about $.05 per cup. And when you drink 4 to 5 pots a day, the fancy single cup machines are horribly expensive. |
| My last job had one of those K-Cup things in the break room. Beside it was a regular coffee machine. I tried both and honestly could not tell a bit of difference. My 5 year old, $14, 4 cup Mr.Coffee maker makes coffee just fine. DD and McDonalds coffee is nothing special either unless their putting addictive chemicals in it that make you crave it daily. |

Now I don't even keep the drip maker out on the counter. |

| I don't drink coffee and my wife does not drink coffee, but I think our Keurig is the greatest thing we have in the kitchen. The reason is that we have lots of company that drink lots of differnet things. I have always had a hard time keeping coffee, etc. instock and fresh when I don't drink it. Add in different preferences and no one was perfectly happy. With the Keurig, we have dozens of different K cups. My kids can make hot chocolate, my mother in law makes hot tea, my father in law likes the donut shop coffee, my dad likes the Kona, my mom likes decaf, our friends like..... Basically if you are not a pot a day drinker, it is perfect and lets everyone have exactly what they would like. |

Is DD coffee that good? Fucks yes. Best coffee in America. I drink 1-2 cups per day. With Keurig It's about $.50-$.60 per cup. A cup from Dunkin Donuts is $2.00. Shit coffee at the gas station is at least a dollar. I spend about $7 per week on K-Cups. I used to spend $8 lb on Dunkin Donuts ground coffee which I would also use up in one week, except I would end up pouring a good bit down my drain. This was because regular drip makers can't make a single cup and have it come out right, you have to make at least half a pot for that. Now take away the time spent cleaning, filtering and fucking with your drip maker every day, plus the fact that they only last year or so at best before they start to make the coffee taste like shit and don't get as hot as they used to. I've done this dance for years. I've had almost every type of coffee maker out there. For myself and my coffee usage, Keurig and K-Cups are the best solution possible. Worth every penny. Don't think it's worth it? Keep drinking your pots of Folgers shit for $.00000000002 a cup, I'm happy for you. |

Much better than anything Dunkin or Starbucks puts out. But for you, it sounds like the single cup is the way to go. By the way, they do make an adapter that lets you use regular coffee grounds in your Keurig. |

I've had better tasting coffee than Dunks don't get me wrong, but nothing beats its buzz inducing caffeine content. I drink one large cup and I have crack-like energy with Ritalin-like focus for a good 4 hours anyway. "America runs on Dunkins" is not just an advertising slogan, shit is true. |
| My wife HAD to have one of these pieces of SH*T, so $120 later we have this amazing multi-colored POS on the counter. I am a 2 pots a day kinda guy, so I invest $22.95 for the reusable cup so you can put in your own coffee.... Its no worth the pain in the ass of having to brew 2 cups to fill a single insulated 20oz cup. 2 monhs later, all the lights quit working. Now it only brews the medium size cup. So I call Keurig, they ask me for the manufacture date, so i give it to them, they tell me its out of the one year warranty! I was so pissed I almost threw into the ocean. Went and bought a Cuisinart that brews an entire pot and keeps it internally and you put your cup under it, press the lever and it gives you as much coffee as you want. Stays hot for 4 hours and you can make as much or as little as you want. AND my to go cup fits under it! |
|
Also, to truly appreciate Dunkin Donuts coffee, you have to have a fresh glazed donut with it.
Bite of donut, sip of coffee. Repeat. Sip of coffee, bite of donut. Either way is win. It also helps to have 20 degree weather for 3 months straight, good hot coffee is more important than almost anything. |

Letting some other mutherfucker decide how much coffee I have, what it tastes like, or how "strong" it is is BULLSHIT. No need to get upset. You decide taste and strength when you buy the coffee. "Bold" is stronger, for example. There are two buttons for what amount you'd like. Remember it's a single serve coffee machine. |

I am dissappoint. I thought you ment donuts in really big bras... |

But it sounds like you got more than a year out of it in spite of heavy use. You must not have figured out that you can take the drip tray off to fit larger cups under it. Cusinarts are a pain to clean. I've had three. Any coffee maker that holds the coffee and keeps it hot is bound to stain the carafe or reservoir and effect taste unless you clean the fuck out of it. I've tried those as well. |

You don't know how true that statement is if you have never been inside one lol. |

god.....you did listen to me....now about that lotto ticket, can you get a move on please ......
i like my coffee, not only in the morning, but a good afternoon cup after work, i use to have to brew at least half a pot to get it to taste right. now when i come home in the afternoon, i can get good cup and be gtg. we still have the drip pot, which gets used in the morning or when company is over, but to be able to make a single cup when all you want is a single cup is priceless. |

The coffee that Dunkin' Donuts sells like this is NOT the same coffee they serve in their donut places, sorry. Commercial coffee brewers make much better coffee than consumer machines. They have tightly controlled heat and brew times, plus they use fixed amounts of grounds and are cleaned thoroughly every day. Unless you wan to shell out for a commercial brewer, it won't taste quite the same. |
I can see you DD addicts kinda like the guy with the I Love Cats cup.
