I love to see the fruits of my labor. Take a crappy overgrown yard and by the end of the day it is transformed into something amazing. It makes a house look 10x better to have a well manicured yard.

Feel's pretty good when a total stranger stops and says "Damn, you have done a lot to your yard. It looks really nice".

I had an over grown acre covered with weeds over grown trees and trash.

I cannot stand it, I know it must be done, I put if off as much as possible, I cannot justify paying someone else to do it. My son will be taking over yard duties as soon as he can 'push' the lawn mower, but he is only 1 1/2 yrs old...

He does like to watch me walk around the yard pushing that noisy metal thing, in fact he cackles at me the whole time...he'll get his...

I let my grass grow nice and long... it’s a great crime deterrent, you see a crappy yard and you think "A gun lives in that house"

I vote Can't stand it.

I ocassionaly enjoy it but that's only for a few weeks in spring.

It' sucks when it's 90 deg at 8:00 am and 90% humidity.

I used to do that, but now I look at it as cathartic work. I do pay a guy to spray the lawn every year .

Much like being on the toilet, nobody bothers me when I'm on my tractor. It's just me, the machine, and a beer.

I enjoy it for the same reason I work on my truck and motorcycle, gives you a sense of accomplishment and it's just something to do. The looks from the people driving by is an added bonus.

How many of you have an office job and like it or don't like it compared to those with a blue collar job that like it and don't like it.

I have noticed its more "enjoyable" with a white collar job (probably because I have energy stored up to let loose). Was more "beat" (physically) after the blue collar job, not as enjoyable...

I have been trying to talk my wife into a "grow dont mow" mindset. I would prefer to have 80% of my yard growing something I could eat. But she likes flowers and grass.
