The UPS Store employees at my local store are complete window-licking retards who do not even know their own company policy.

Go in today to ship out a Bushmaster Superlight barrel I recently sold on the EE. This woman behind the counter tells me they can't ship firearms. I go it's not a firearm. She says they are not allowed to ship parts. I told her I've done it no less than 60 times from this very store. She replies that they did it without knowing. I asked her if she was calling me a crook or a liar as I WRITE on the slip what is inside the box. Then I say this very barrel CAME TO MY HOME VIA THE BIG BROWN TRUCK. She says that's because they have a special license. Not that this cunt even knows what an FFL is. I simply reply, that's for receivers with serial numbers which are legally THE firearm. Replies again that it's UPS policy, no parts. Some other moron from the back comes out and says has to go to the hub. I tell him, yeah, firearms have to go to the hub - I been there a few times. Parts don't, but I'm not going to argue I have to make it to FedEX before they close - later.

UPS store people are pretty much dumb as dirt. I work at UPS, i dont think UPS owns them, but they signed a contract with UPS... I never heard much about it, or cared. I think UPS store bascially works on commision, or a slightly higher rate then going to the UPS hub and sending something.

Heck I saw a Remington model 7something come down the belt the other night. The girl you dealt with is just D-U-M DUMB. I think eveyr fire arm I have had sent to my FFL was through UPS.

Just so you know, when dealing with the UPS store you are not actually dealing with UPS.
You are dealing with people that work at a franchise store that has paid to use the UPS name and logo.

Figures.

Thing is, I've used this store many, many times to send barrels and parts. Just some bad luck today landing a dumbass behind the counter.

What really irritates me isn't even the whole UPS thing. It's the ignorance of firearms and laws in the general public. I don't expect everyone to be a firearm laws expert. It's quite extensive and complicated even for us. However, if you work in the shipping business, you should at least know the laws.

Surprisingly, the people at the post office do know the laws and when they are uncertain, the manager knows them.
