The uniform of a Marshal of France, circa 1811. That was a duty uniform.

First thought was Indiana Jones. I can deal w/ the hat, jacket, shirt, pants. Pistol would work. Whip might not be as useful, but I suppose I could find a use for it.

only issue is... you MUST be recognizable / your character must be recognizable to the average person. if its not, you gotta choose again. character can be " generic", so if your dressed as john wayne, or matt dillon, or clint eastwood, or hoss on bonanza, or a dozen other guys thru film who dress as " cowboys, then being called a generic " cowboy" would work, they dont have to tell the exact character your posing as.
so, cowboy is pretty easy, WWI soldier, WWII soldier, civil war soldier, or generic soldier in general is pretty easy. terrorist, pretty easy. cop / swat etc pretty easy. you get the idea. picking a guy in street clothes wont work unless its identifiable, like terminator in biker clothes and gargoyle glasses, where someone says " hey, he looks like the terminator", etc. or biker would work i guess. have fun. |

I’m going with Jedi. Robes look comfy, real lightsaber would be cool. Bonus points if I get real force powers.

18th Century Caribbean Pirate, no doubt. I didn’t even need to think about. I have been considering adopting the persona, along with the wardrobe, when I retire in less than two years.

The chicken costume from that Gene Wilder/Richard Pryor movie.

Cowboy. Already wear wrangers, boots, and a hat from time to time. Would substitue my jeans with a kevlar chap front in for the traditional chaps.

I'm dressing up like a 70s pimp. I want the hat, cane and full length fur coat!

I would take on the appearance of a zipper suited sun god and wear a USAF or USCG flight suit. I had a surplus Nomex flight suit for a while and it was really comfy.,

Quoted: For whatever reason you decide, you are legally forced / punished / sentenced to wear " a costume or uniform, from film or history". you must wear this uniform from one hour after waking up, until one hour before bed each day. its a 10 year prison sentence for getting caught " out of uniform". its also illegal for any one to fire you, or discriminate against you for any reason for wearing this uniform / costume. if you choose a uniform / costume with weapons, your allowed to carry real working versions of those weapons, 50 state legal, anywhere you go. federal crime to interfere with you and your " official costume", so Karens can cry all they want, but if you choose a cowboy or rambo, you get to tote 6 shooters and lever gun, or a m60 machine gun around with you. so... what are you choosing? whats your new threads going to look like? Darth vader? a vampire? a Nazi? big bird ? WWII soldier? abe lincoln with top hat? cowboy? also... the costume / original character must be recognizable to average people. so, no picking casual clothing that no one can specifically tie to a character.
