Well to be honest he can enjoy a month or two of doing absolutely nothing before he needs to start looking for a new job. Man, that sounds pretty nice actually. Congrats!

sorry to hear that!! im laid off.. have been since January, unemployment has ran out and a good paying job is hard to find now adays!  Glad you atleast got some pay.. Good luck on the job search i hope you find something ive been looking for a few months now.

We had a company here get nailed by the hurricane, so they had to close their building and contract the work out... The lady across the street got her pay and medical for a year, she was pulling down over $130k a year She found another job, so was getting basically two pay checks.

Intel is not laying off a large percent of their work force though are they.

I have AMD in my machines, but it was built for gaming.
The latest Intel chips are much better.

Competition was good for us, but it looks like in the long run AMD is lossing.

Intel's good stuff is not made in Israel. They are just finishing a new fab there.  

Intel is building a fab in China also.
