So I was in Micro Center on 6/29 to pick up a wireless PS2 controller. Walking around the PC section, I spy the EVGA 9600GT 512mb for $149.99 after $20 mail in rebate through EVGA. I grab it, ditch the wireless controller, and go to check out. Purchased, around $182 after tax.

I go to their computer to print out the rebate form. The form says the offer is good from May 1st to June 1st, and is for $15 (the price marker said good from 5/1 to 6/30, for $20). So I go to the customer service and tell them. They refund me $5 no problem for the price difference, but said the date would be fine.

I mail in the rebate with a copy of the receipts (including the partial refund) and a photo I took with my cellphone of the sticker price along with a letter explaining what happened. Mailed it 5/30.

Managed to sell my old 8800GTS 320mb for $140 to a member on here. Get an email today with a link to follow the status on my rebate. Says Im declined, because the date was past. Im depressed. I go to MicroCenter with the email printed out and my receipts and tell them what happened.

The Asst. Manager says no prob, we'll take care of you. He refunds it back onto my debit card, and asks me to sign. Im expecting $15 + tax. The dude refunded me $40 + tax! So the final price I paid was $124.99 + tax (Denver tax rate is 7.6%, so $134.49 after). He says here is for your trouble, and we part ways. And I sold my old video card for $140.

Hellz yeah! I just got paid $5 to upgrade my card!
