I found this old S&W Model 1899 Hand-Ejector in .32 S&W long today. I gave $75.00 for it.

The nickle finish is worn some but it's tight and has a great bore. I figured why not as I have plenty of .32 long for it and it will go with my small framed Colt Police Positive of the same caliber.

Nice! Heres my hand ejector with a 4xxx serial. I traded a Jennings .380 for it.

Well to be fair it would not go into full cock and was missing the upper side plate screw. I had some screws from a old S&W top-break and one of them fit it perfectly and I noticed at the shop that the trigger guard took a ding.

Come to find out when it took a ding it pushed the TG up just enough to where the rear of the trigger laid against it preventing it to go to full cock.

I put it in a padded vise and took a long brass drift punch I made for something else and just tapped the TG from the inside till the trigger cleared it....It goes into full cock just fine now.

It's not like it's a showpiece or anything but it should be a solid shooter.

The .32 S&W long is a very accurate cartridge in these old revolvers if you get a solid one.

Those are worth a bit more than my H-E as they are from what is considered the "cowboy era" what with the earlier patent dates being on the cylinder.

LOL...The rear sight arrangement is a bit different on those.

Come to find out those are not the proper stocks....They were from the 20s and the revolver was made around 1905.

It just so happened that I had a pair of the proper black hard rubber stocks in my box-o-grips.

LOL....I bet they have been in there for 20+ years...I don't even remember where I got them.

Just goes to show that you never get shed of grips when you find them.

A. Good score.
B. I hate you.  Yet, I would pay for the apprenticeship, if you would show me how you do it.

I bet if I paid $100, you could turn it into a pinned barrel model 29.
