I sadly bought and scraped a rare 70 torino to get the engine . It was a 351c 4 barrel , fmx trans , 9 inch . It was bench seat and hide away headlight with a column shifter . 2 door . I used the engine in my Maverick .

I briefly had a 70 torino cobra.
Mine had a 429 that I put in it.
When I bought it the original 429 Cobra Jet was gone and someone had put a 351C 4bbl motor in it.
I bought a 429 and Transmission out of a 69 mercury marquis and dropped it in.
Had a brief moment of panic when I couldn't find the engine to motor mount spacers.
Mine did not have the shaker or window slats but it did have the factory tach.
Pretty cool option on those, it was a horizontal gauge that the needle went from left to right in the lower left of the dash.
Red with a black vinyl top!
Big car but still pretty cool, sold it for the money to buy my Cuda!
Thanks for the pics, lots of memories, when I worked at a Gas Station in the 70's this old lady would come in driving a 1970 Falcon, which is a base model 1970 torino.
