The gold bar comeback was good.

Tell him to get over himself.

Not a friend.

Pics of ammo please and how many rounds of center fire ammo do you have vs .22lr?

Your ammo, pre-panic, towards his gold, pre-panic. It's only fair.

You are being more than generous selling 200 rounds at cost.  I would not rub his face in the previous offers to buy ammo with you.

He may have another option to camp out at Walmart when Federal 100 round packs come in at $35 USD.

absolutely will not sell me gold at cost.  gold is an investment. ammo is not.  i beg to differ.

You will have more use with your ammo when SHTF.
Gold will be useless.

Or tell him to join the site so he can commiserate with his fellow FSA members in GD that get butthurt about "gouging."

I'm guessing you just highlighted his one unredeeming flaw, so it's probably not fair to judge on that alone.  Still seems like FSA BS.

I have a friend that is completely out of ammo.  Over the past few years, i have contacted him every single time that i was placing large orders to see if he wanted to buy some.  He scoffed at the prices ($220/case for wolf .223, $149/420 rd can LC M855 and $450/case for Prvi partisan 75g bthp match) and never ordered any ammo with me.  He asked me last week if i would sell him some ammo.  Being the nice guy that i am, i offered to sell him 200 rounds of any ammo that i have for what I paid for it.

Pretty cool of me in my opinion.

Well, he doesn't think so.  He is demanding that I sell him 1K rds at what i paid for it.  I politely let him know that he was lucky that he was getting 200 rds off of me for any price, much less what i paid for it.  He is of the opinion that I have more ammo that i can ever shoot and that it wont hurt me to sell some.  While that may be true, the fact of the matter is that he laughed at me several times over the years for buying so much ammo.  Who is the one laughing now

My favorite part of the exchange was when I told him that I would sell 1K rounds of privi for $700.  Still a pretty damn good deal.  He then asked me what i paid for them and went ballistic when i told him.  I then asked him if he would sell me some of his gold bars for what he paid for them several years ago

I love being prepared.  I love listening to the butthurt shooters that were not prepared.

Friend huh?  Be prepared for this guy to turn you in for being one of them "prepper/anti-government" types who threatened to shoot him.  Prepare yourself...and your dag

Sounds more like a selfish asshole with a pretty big sense of entitlement....

For family members I would sell ammo or other things at cost..Anyone else, it depends on how much I like them...In your case, since you bent over backwards in pre-panic times to see if he wanted anything I would pretty much tell the guy to go suck it.

He is a very good friend. Best friend in fact.  He just doesn't view gun related things as investment like I do. that's where the disconnect is.

You and I have very different friends.

I'd offer to sell him the ammo as an even trade for the gold, at the cost both were purchased at.  Otherwise fuck him.

That's why when friends ask me for ammo, I politely say I barely have enough for myself.  Settles all debate.

Since tuesday of last week, apparently.

Someone that makes DEMANDS of me is not a friend.

People that employ me, or that I have a contractual relationship might get to demand things from me.  Government officials may get t demand things from me - backed by the threat of force or power.

Friends do not.  And if someone does, they will have revealed themselves to NOT be a friend.
