I thought it was interesting that they went out of their way to have the minivan scream "gun owner inside!" Out of all the traffic stop shoot out videos I've watched, none ever had a gun related sticker on any of the vehicles. They're subtlely conditioning officers to believe gun owner are some of the bad guys. Quoted:

OMG! Do You think it was a PHOTOSHOP!? In a magazine!? OH THE HORROR... OH JEEBUS!
Edit - it was probably a fake stop for the photo anyway. I thought it was interesting that they went out of their way to have the minivan scream "gun owner inside!" Just because you're making a stop on a minivan with an obvious car seat, it doesn't mean that the guy driving can't be dangerous. Look for the little things, gun stickers, behavior....You know, clues. |

Because sovereign citizens (one of the biggest local threats to LE recently) absolutely hate guns and eschew any form of such decorations. Hell, we've got a local SC with a "GOT AMMO?" sticker on the back window of his creeper van. Most of have realized from casual interactions with the guy that he's a SC and we are going to have problems with him. I, for one, appreciate that he's going out of his way to let me know ahead of time that he's very likely to be armed. |
