Spoiler question so don't read if you haven't seen the movie. * * * * * You guys who liked the movie which based on the other thread seems to be a pretty fair amount. Did you not find the relationship between Hancock and Mary kind of dumb? We have two ancient beings who are paired up. Yet they can not be together or they will lose their powers. My question is why would their creator pair two people up if in effect they can't be together? What would be the point? Also what would be the odds that years and years later they would meet up because of Ray's near crushing by a train? I found that this whole change in the storyline really messed up the movie. If nothing else they could have developed that angle a bit more. The way it was I could have imagined seeing it happening on Jerry Springer: "Ray, Mary has something to tell you about her past... Come on out Hancock".... Bah. |

Nah, I don't think it spoiled it at all. I thought it was well enough explained in the movie that the reason they lose there immortality and powers was so that they could have a normal life and be able to love some one that they won't have to lose to old age while they stay young. On a side note the kitchen scene the next morning after Hancock finds out is fucking hilarious. |
