The RS should be a sweet car. The AWD system seems to be used in very clever ways to really change how the car behaves. I'm looking forward to hearing how people like them once they are out in the wild. I'm really considering getting one, but it is too "new" from the other Focus models for me to take the risk of buying the first model year. So maybe in the second model year, if there is one.
I'm also looking forward to see how Subaru responds to it. |

I don't think it's apples to apples comparison. Isn't the ford pretty low production? If so, it's probably going to cost way more than a Subaru. Base price on the RS is right about $36k, which basically the same as the STi. Golf R is it's other competitor, which is priced basically the same. I think all 3 of these cars aren't exactly high volume cars. STi is probably the most common. |

Just the car for you if you're a metrosexual. ![]() I mocked them for like 15 years.. then randomly got one. They are stupid amounts of fun. Much more than I expected. But I suppose they aren't for a guy who has his sexuality wrapped up in his vehicle lol |

Aren't those 1 of the most unreliable cars? New Focus? Nah, they're tight. At least the ones we have here already. But the Ford I'd want is the Fiesta ST (6-speed manual, 4cyl mini-ecoboost). Almost 200 horse in a tiny ass, light car. It's practical, reliable, goes like a raped ape, and it's $20k sticker. Why there aren't a fucking million of them on the road, I don't know. Oh, wait, yes I do. Americans are fuckin scrips that don't drive manual sports cars. They want a big engine and an auto tranny, because they all have tiny dicks (or something?). So, there you go. |

Oh, wait, yes I do. Americans are fuckin scrips that don't drive manuals. So, there you go. I don't think it's the manual thing. I think americans are just way too into horsepower figures. The whole "fun to drive" factor is lost on most american car guys. I see Focus ST's all over the place. They have a manual. I think I've seen 2 Fiesta ST's in the last year. I think the 190hp figure and the tiny size is a turn off to most american car guys. I'm sure they are great fun, but I went with the Focus ST because the Fiesta is just so little. |
$36k for a hatchback? No.
