Once again: They are automated countermeasures… The crews simply turn the system on or off... They are not intentionally fired at you… They save lives… Yes, they can be manually dispensed. This is the exception and NOT the rule… I can speak for army aircraft only, though I imagine that they are using similar systems… This is not a topic that needs to be discussed in detail on a public forum… |

Seriously? LOL? No, I am not a pilot but I ride in helicopters and I know the systems. Why don't we bow to the knowledge and wisdom of Hawkdriver......who believe it or not drives Hawks and not discuss it further. Yes it can be manual, no it is not the pilots being toolboxes. |
