I am working on a global deployment of Win2K3 servers and it isn't all that special. In general it is a combination of patched Win2K and WinXP.

how does the CD key work on this version, like win2k or XP?

Its a 180 day trial version. Those are free all the time.

Once installed, you will need to activate it like you do Office XP and Windows XP.

If you have MSDN-- you can download the REAL versions: Standard, Enterprise, and Web. [:D]

The Halloween docs are real, MS rightly said.
