I'm looking to take the sd card out of my Contour camera, pop it into my Toshiba Thrive, transfer, then watch the .mov files.
Which is the best player for Android that will do this? I've read several are good players, but can't handle HD.
Any suggestions?

I use MX Player to play ContourHD videos on my Nexus 7 directly from the microSD card.

I've tried using MX, but it runs really slow on the Thrive.

Have you tried the VLC Android beta?

Try BSplayer FREE or Mobo Player.
Both seem to handle a test .mov file from Quicktime's site without problem. BSplayer does better with .mp4s. Mobo Player gets a little choppy with higher def .mp4s.

The Thrive is Tegra 2-based.
Unfortunately, the VLC Beta doesn't run on Tegra chip sets. (Like my phone... )
