get back to the states next month, kicking around the idea of adding these three to the stable

Ruger Super Blackhawk 44

Remington 7600 30-06

another Garand, speciifically a Winchester built rifle to go with my H&R Garand that I bought through the CMP

aside from these three, I've put money down on the following while I was out here:
Winchester Model 25 12ga shotgun
Remington Model 121 22LR
Savage Model 1907 32ACP w/original box and paperwork
Ruger Standard 1 of 5000 22LR w/ original box and paperwork

Jesus, that Remington looks like ass.  Do you like that style better than a similar bolt action?  Can keep your forearm further back and they're more amenable to optics and good sights.

I grew up in PA where these rifles are VERY popular, plus a good friend of mine owns one in 243 and for a pump rifle the damn thing shoots very well. So I figured I'd give one a try, plus I look at it as an excuse to have a pump 30-06 since I own a semi auto 30-06 (M1), lever (Winchester 1895), and a few bolt action 30-06's (M1903A3, Winchester 54, and pre-64 Model 70) already. All I'd be missing then would be a single shot 30-06 rifle

I got an old 742 woodmaster. I had an old guy tell me that the reason they built that pump version was that semi auto deer hunting was illegal in PA. Have had a few guys over the years refer to those as PA guns. Never looked into the whole legality thing though.

A buddy of mine had the 742, and was VERY happy with it.
The SBH in  .44 Mag was the first handgun I ever fired, love it.
I'm not a Garand guy. Too heavy for what you get, but it's your $. Enjoy them.

the 760 pump was created as a replacement for the 141 Pump rifle which was an update of the Model 14 that debuted in 1912.

Hunting any animal in PA with semi auto rifles its illegal. However you can use a semi auto shotgun for hunting. As a result of this and the fact that PA has some fairly dense woods the pump action rifle is pretty common in the state

Interesting.  I can see that, then.
