Man gets shot, eats his sandwich anyway Posted by lkurtzman November 11th, 2010, 12:54 pm Miguel Soto must really like his sandwiches. We can understand that. What we don’t get, though, is this: The 25-year-old Connecticut man was shot twice at a New Haven deli but went home to eat his lunch before he checked into a hospital. Police say Soto heard three gunshots as he left the deli Tuesday — one bullet hit him in the leg, another got him in the groin. And then he went home and had his sandwich. His dad later took him to a hospital. Either Soto didn’t realize immediately he’d been shot, or he decided the injuries were not serious enough for an immediate hospital trip. Police don’t know. But his injuries were not life-threatening, and today we’re gonna have a sandwich in his honor. |
