I got ACE certified a few years back. I believe there was a requirement to have a current CPR cert and all else that was required was just a written test. The test wasn't difficult. I didn't maintain my certification more than a couple years and have not had any contact with personal training for a while. Things may be different now. I know, this hardly helps...
