| I started seeing a personal trainer once a week at the gym. Now that I have a better clue on what kind of routine to do, I am hooked and constantly want to go to the gym. Is this normal? |

A good key to help yourself stick with it, is to set small incremental goals with the weights or small realistic body changes. Achieving small goals quicker is more rewarding than setting unrealistic goals and feeling like your not making fast enough progress. Change things up often and have fun with it. |

I'm addicted to guilt avoidance, does that make sense? Whenever I miss a workout or a run I feel like I let myself down, and I beat myself up until I have my next workout/run. So far as the actual workout or run, I don't enjoy it. I feel great when I'm done and get a sense of accomplishment for having done it. I guess I'm addicted to the feeling I get when I finish. Wait till you start getting the comments from people. |
I've already been given lots of shit because I use a trainer. They all say, "ooooh, a personal trainer, eh?" I just see it as a wise investment. |
Ummm, that wasn't the type of comments that I was referring to. I heard a guy say, if he were in a bar fight, he wanted those 3 with him. He was referring to me and 2 other guys. I was old enough to be the dad of the other guys. I was in a bar a couple of weeks ago talking to a barmaid. We were talking about beer prices, since they just went up. I told her that I liked them when it was 35 cents for a draft, and 50 cents for a bottle. She asked me how old I was. When I told her, she told me that she thought I was in my late 30s. Those kind of comments. Keep working out, you will hear them. |
Well, yeah,I have been getting comments my whole life. Usually it's something like "HEY! GET YOUR PANTS BACK ON! " or "GET AWAY FROM MY SISTER!" |
