Well I guess you could plug the holes with foil. For a reduced level of protection.

I drove through NM and AZ a while back, and was actually looking for someplace selling them, and I didn't find any.

All the places I went that had any had the two standard ones--the "cowboy" one and the "beer bottle" one (laying on its back with its feet up in the air, so you can put a beer bottle on its feet and it looks like its drinking).
I was so disappointed.

All the Indian places I stopped were pretty much selling the exact same stuff.

I went looking for a bullwhip as well, and the only example I found for sale anywhere was some puny sad little 4-foot $13 things of flimsy black leather and tagged "Made in India".
