Ok, it seems that I woke this morning with a head cold, which usually I just deal with, But tomorrow Im going to the beach. First time I have been since I was 6. (I dont count the Persian gulf when I was in Kuwait coming home from iraq).
Me and my new girl are going and I dont want to feel crappy for the next few days. Any home remedies? I have been taking ''Airborne'' and drinking oj by the gallons. along with some tylenol and sudafed. Help me ARFCOM! |

Want my advice? i've had a cold since last Wednesday and finally (yesterday) went to the doc. Got a shot in the butt, plus a 10-day supply of antibiotics, plus some other stuff.
There's a NASTY cold going around. Take care of yourself. And don't give it to your girl! |

Home remedies? Meh If you have access to a pharmacy, go pick up something similar to Afrin. If you want to get better, you have to get the built up bacteria laden mucus out of your sinus. +1 on the Afrin. I tried Afrin for the first time last year and was blown away by how awesome it is. |

The simple fact is, you can get a cold faster from sharing your GF's office supplies than by kissing her! As for spicy foods, that helps drain the snot locker but it DOESN'T get rid of the cold. Try hot horseradish, or that wonderfully hot mustard they serve in Chinese restaurants! |

I tried it, and continue to do so... but the first couple of times I did so I found that the time between doses got shorter & shorter.... I guess I built a tolerance to it, and had to give it up for a couple of days until it got useful again. |

While it's good for removing blockage, you really do need to get some meds up in your sniffer. Afrin (or the generic form of same) are inexpensive. |
