| plugged the old ladys truck in the other day. it has a block heater in the freeze plug, and a battery blanket. heard a clicking sound after about 5 seconds. found it was the coolant flowing through the hose and radiator. its just a little coil heater in the block, could not of gotten hot enough to boil the coolant in a matter of seconds. figured id replace the power cord. anyone have any ideas why the coolant flow? cant think of anything that would be causing it. |
| i tried it again last night, before replacing the power cord today. it was still warm, and did not make the coolant flow. it was about -10"F. maybe it just does it when the coolant is cold. nobody else had ever heard of/noticed this though. wish i remembered my physics classes. should be fun this week putting the oil pan and tranny heaters in. not supposed to be above 0'F all week. |
And I thought it got chilly here

you know it gets cold when you start driving and your tires feel square from the flat spot on the bottom. |
