Hey guys, what boots are currently holding up the best over there? I know my issued shit doesn't last but a few months and I need some that will hold up better. Thanks |
| The Bellevilles that are being issued now hold up the best. When I was the S4 on my last trip, those who had to get issued new boots were the ones who bought all that Gucci shit like Converse, Altama, and Bates. Wellco and Bellevilles held up the best. I recommend the Belleville 390. When you go to the LCI store they will tell you you can only get the steel toe version. Buy a pair on your own without the steel toe. |
| i have to asy the Belleville's are the best boots i have ever worn i bought a pair during my mob and they have held up since then. you should get a pair at RFI. i would defently spend the money on the Belleville's. the Army finally issued a boot that is comfortable and lasts in the desert. |

the Belleville 390's are by far the best boot I have ever been issued and that includes the GSG9 addias boots I got while in Group. These things feel like they were made for me and took absolutely no break in period. Too bad I can't fly in them as they are not approved as flight gear. For that I got a pair of Rocky 790G's which are good boots too but did take a bit of break in. You can't go wrong with either of these. |

The 390 is a good boot (best Ive been issued) but mine stretched out now to the point my foot slides around too much near the ball of my foot. I bought a pair of altama sierra sole boots and they are very good too but the laces suck. I had to replace them pretty quick but no big deal. |
