Just finished a golf fund raiser for ICE We had a great turnout 40+ 4 person teams @ $240.00 a pop to help fallen agents and their kids. I have retired and active BP agents as friends These guys and gals drive into danger everytime they report for duty and it is getting worse everyday in the southwest, keep them in your thoughts A big thanks and stay safe to any agents or LE on Arfcom |

Pena Nieto also expressed a desire to create a new national gendarmerie, or paramilitary police force, to use in place of the Mexican army and Marine troops currently deployed to combat the heavily armed criminal cartels in Mexico's most violent hot spots. According to Pena Nieto, the new gendarmerie force would comprise some 40,000 agents.
Nothing to see here, move along ... My concern is this; even if the Mexican .gov increases the number of agents, doesn't that just give the cartels more opportunity to corrupt, bribe and extort? The demand for cartel 'products' is not diminishing in the slightest degree. There's no indication from the ruling regime here that they'll move to enforce immigration laws or commit to any programs that would actually make the border less porous. There's no indication that the regime is working to re-secure the border lands already 'occupied' by the cartel krewes. I'm in awe of the ICE agents that still have the courage, will and tenacity to work in a WAR zone when they're effectively bureaucratically handcuffed from enforcing the laws they're tasked with enforcing. So ya, hats off to those who persevere. And pain be upon the unelected, appointees who make political careers off the sacrifices of others. |

As a Corrections Officer that works in a max unit, I take my
hat off to these guys as having the shittiest environment to go to work in. Honestly, I don't know how BPAs do it. My work seems senseless, all the way up until I watch one of those NATGEO shows...Then, my job seems absolutely logical compared to BPAs. I don't think I have the makeup that would allow me to do that those guys do for a living. |
