The other day i noticed a buss on the highway. It looked to have possibly 4 people on it. Then i realized that was about the most I had on a commercial carrier in a while. While waiting on a phone call i was on the computer goofing off. Just putting in two towns i fly to and from i see why no one was on the buss. The cost was close to airline prices,  almost no savings at all. What is about 90 minutes in a plane was 31 hours on a buss..  The train was no better with about 41 hours and 4 changes. It leaves going north for 15 hours then goes south 26 hours. There was little price difference.

Yes, and you stand a better chance of walking off the plane with your head intact.

From what I've read, bus and train ridership was up when gas prices were high. If buses in your area have low ridership, I doubt the company will keep sending buses to your area for long.
