| How would ARCOMERS communicate if the forum was shut down by the WH as an enemy of the state.... |
| All I'm saying is get prepared everyone talks about bugout bags and ammo and enough food for a year, but invest in a com. center whether it be a ham in your truck or car or even a CB...just something that you can stay informed with...since I've been thinking about this I've bought a ham for the house and generator backup...so when the WH decides to select forums that don't see eye to eye and shut it down.....look at what's happening at FOX...what if one day you wake up and turn on the tube and find that FOX has been taken off of the air because of some trumpt up bullshit FCC violation...just say'n |
| This does make me wonder if we shouldn't setup a mirror of this server with an Onion address. |

How would ARCOMERS communicate if the forum was shut down by the WH as an enemy of the state.... Ham Radio, conducting regular nets on 10, 20 and 40 meters... This is correct. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii304/odontia32m/myshack6-09b.jpg Kinda wish I knew how to use one of them, or the money to buy even a cheap one |

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but Ham radio will be shut down too. Yup, if they start shutting down TV and Internet, Radio will be torched as well. |

Alright the .Gov can jam all frequencies from DC to Daylight. Is that is what you are saying. If it is, how do people communicate with radios even with the most oppressive keepers. Please explain. Our .gov can do nothing that precise. They can not manage to jam the illicit communications in our small war zones. |

While amateur radio would be impossible to shut down as a communications medium, it would be awful simple for them to find any illicit operators, you gave them your info when you got your license. No they probably couldn't triangulate you and find you that way, all they have to do if figure out the general area of the transmitter, then compare to the list of licensed operators in that area, now take those names and cross reference against the list of names of ARFCOM users.
Not to mention that regular transmissions on the same frequency are easy to jam, so you would have to have a system in place to let the other end know what freq to use from day to day. The easiest form of communications would be cell phones, more particularly prepaid cell phones, they are very difficult to trace, and they are disposable and easily replaced. |

You might be suprised how easy it is to locate transmitters, and not everybody will be at their home station. Not to mention that regular transmissions on the same frequency are easy to jam, so you would have to have a system in place to let the other end know what freq to use from day to day. Assuming they don't jam the entire spectrum except THEIR frequencies... The easiest form of communications would be cell phones, more particularly prepaid cell phones, they are very difficult to trace, and they are disposable and easily replaced. Cellular towers can be shut down, conversations monitored, and trianglated from towers. Cell would be my LAST means for any comms needing security. Encoded digital burst transmissions on a pre-planned time/frequency schedule would offer some OPSEC - if only until it could be intercepted and decrypted. Decryption equipment may or may not be available in a short enough time window to interdict whatever tactics were conveyed. Planning a time/frequency matrix would also need multiple iterations to be feasible with 'Maximum Useable Frequency' limitations imposed by the sun. Secure tactical comms with commercially available HAM gear CAN be done....but it's far from easy or being a slam dunk. Trans-continental and regional comms aren't always easy 'in the clear'....let alone when somebody trained is trying to find you. ![]() |
