I have a computer I bought from ibuypower.com, it works fantastically, have had it for around a year i would say.
The only issue I have is when i use a headset. I can plug a headset into the rear outputs or a special set that is much handier on the front. If I use the front inputs I hear static and 'pc noise' in the headset, this is also heard if i speak into the mic. (there is a mic input up front as well.) I thought the noise was related to the video card actions. But I have found that it seems directly related to anything plugged into the usb inputs. Example, I can use the mouse wheel to scroll up and down i hear a hiss as the page scrolls. this noise is increased in sound and occurrence when doing something graphically heavy, like some kind of game. If I plug into the rear I have no issues. Is it possibly some kind of ground issue? Is the wiring too close to something else causing the issue? any thoughts? |

It probably is a grounding issue. I've had the same trouble. I usually end up using the rear ports. (That sounds so dirty, doesn't it?)
I've seen several recommendations for wrapping aluminum foil and electrical tape around the front port connection wires, and reducing RF interference that way. Option 2 would be getting an extension cable for your headset jacks. I've wondered it making a cable sheath out of Buckyballs would cure the trouble, but I'm too laid back to try it. (That, and I don't want to fry my HD.) |

Sounds like a cheap case You might want to check the front panel to make sure all connections look good. I have checked all the cables I can, nothing appears loose. I think its just the way they might be routed inside it or something. Ill take off the other side and maybe do a live test with it and see if I can figure something out. |

nice! I use one myself. Plugged into the back ports on my home build. Then I can switch between speakers and headsets with the flick of a button. It's awesome for what I do. |
