| hey guys few days ago my computer started crashing. At first it was just about 5-10 minutes after I started playing a game and nothing else, but today it started crashing while even just web browsing. When it crashes my screen goes black and my monitor goes to sleep and i can here a humming sound from my speakers , my led lights on the case and psu stay on, as well as my fans . I checked my temperatures , nothing seems to be overheating, and i ran prime95 yesterday and it didn't crash. any ideas on whats causing this? |

Have you taken it outside with a can of air and blown it out recently? What you describe sounds exactly what would happen if overheating was the problem. Make sure the fan on your video card is spinning vigorously. It should HURT if you stick your finger on it. If it's just wobbling along, it's not fast enough.

I checked the temps with a few programs ill hafta check the names when I get home , CPU temp was around 44 45 max when running prim . Fans .are working properly and it has been blown out recently. Is there a way to check the psu to see if it is dying ? Replace it/swap with another system, and see if problem follows. Often times the PS works, but under video card load, they puke. |
