I just replaced a hard drive in a desktop computer.  I re-installed windows vista (which is what was on the machine before) and it is running very, very slow(2-3 minutes to open a file or application).  This computer ran fine before the hard drive crapped out (mechanical failure) and I replaced it with a brand new identical drive.  The computer has a 2.4 Ghz anthelon processor and 1.024 G of RAM.  I know this is on the low side to run vista, but like I said, it ran fine before.  Any one have any ideas or advice?  I will update to 2 or 3 G of RAM if I can be sure that there are no other problems.  Thanks in advance.
