| I had a strange issue pop up with my PC today. I run several hard drives in my box. Each with a different purpose. My drive for picture storage once labeled "Local Disk" today is labeled "System Reserved". My question is: What changed and how do I change it back? |

You can still see all your data on the drive but the label changed? "System Reserved" is what windows 7+ calls the partition it stores the boot loader config data, it shouldn't be assigned a drive letter. I can see that the data takes up space but I have no access to the data. The label changed from Local Disk E to System Reserved E. |

Is this what you are referring to? http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/status-malus/Disk%20Management.jpg I had a guy whose external drive would not open its contents. For some reason, it was not getting a drive letter assigned by Windows. I think it was a Toshiba. After I assigned it a drive letter, it opened fine. It still has the letter assigned. Letter "E". |

Can you post a screen shot of your Disk Management info just like the one above? |
