Guys, I've tried just about everything. AVG's a no go, malware bytes and spybot won't even run. Anyone have a definitive fix for this one?

It's a computer I'm fixing for someone, according to them- they were trying to watch a video of the volcano situation this week.

Sorry, no help here. Its not looking at porn sites alone that will do this. I dont look at porn sites and I still got a virus. Strange thing I was on AR15.com at the time.

Did a search of the HD:

CSRSSC.EXE-02006AA9.pf     in the folder C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch

should I just delete that file outright?

I used this http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-18510_4-10804572.html?cdlPid=10997763

and this http://www.kaspersky.com/

It didn't cost me anything and seemed to get rid of a lot of the stuff, although it appears as though the file which looks for this program is still there as I get the error on startup.

I don't know much, but I know you need to be careful with that. csrssc.exe appears to be pretty necessary to the running of the computer which is why they named the virus that I guess.

Are you running the scanning and install in safemode? cause that would be the best way to run it.

To get malwarebytes to work, you can try renaming the exe file in the install directory and running it from there.
