| During the warmer months in CT I was a lifeguard and all the time in the water swept the sweat right off. Now I'm not a lifeguard and in the midwest far away from the ocean. Apparently not swimming all day long makes me need something to cover BO, but on the other hand using deoderant gives me some horrible pit stains. I tried using axe and right guard anti perspirant but the shit doesn't work. Infact I sweat a whole lot less if I don't put any on. How the hell can I not sweat and not smell like a day laborer? I swear I'm moving back east to the ocean next summber if theres no solution. |
the shower soap or the deoderant? my problem is that the deoderants I've tried cause me to sweat. I can't figure out why since people wear it to stop sweat, but it just causes it for me. |
I use them both, don't know how well they would work for you. I sweat no matter what |

Deodorant covers up odors. Antiperspirant helps to lower the amont of sweat secreted. Two different things entirely, although most antiperspirants are scented. Cotton balls soaked in isopropyl alchohol then rubbed in the armpits before reapplying antiperspirant can help during the middle of a sweaty day. If odor is "strange" or a big problem, I'd suggest talking to your doctor. "Healthy" sweat shouldn't smell bad... at least for a day, because the "regular" BO smell is caused by bacteria growing IN the sweat, not the sweat itself. I'm one of those gals who used to get all warped out of shape wondering if normal sweat from excersize was "smelly", so I asked my MD about it. |
I DEFINITELY recommend trimming your pits. |
