i just started last week with a new employer.  i had put it off for 2 weeks waiting for a local position that would have paid me better.  i couldnt justify waiting all of this time for something that might not come through so i just pulled the trigger on it and moved across pa, if it works out, i'll move back.

Team players and skilled/hard to replace people have a job these days. In what manner would you like them to look at you?

While I can understand how appealing 5 days off may be, the last 6-12 months I've been bending over backwards to do anything my employer asked of me.  That's been paying off.  Do what you gotta do.

In 2007 I took the five days off.. and regretted it. I never got to meet the guy I was replacing. I pieced his stuff together, but it took a while. (computer programming)
