That's pretty cool.  They do stop moving, of course, when you focus on just one point.

if you stare at one spot in the middle, and hold still, it will stop moving after a few seconds. what makes it move is the movement of your eyes and head. its got to do with your lenses being bent, where your perifrial vision is cured and ofsets patterns a bit, you dont really notice unless it is a big odd pattern though.
