My daughter got me a band for my birthday.  Is it me or does it make your arm tingle like its falling asleep?

Heart attack probably. Put it in your pocket.

My wife has the pocket/clip version.  She never complains about it.  Some friends of ours have the wristband models.  Haven't heard any of them complain about anything other than having to wear it on their wrists.

Is there software that goes on your computer to sync it with?

I have a suspicion it is a portal to put malware or virus on a computer. Not the company directly but someone who found a vulnerability in the software.

Might be nothing but . have 2 machines with problem disabling .dll in the virus software. Which are linked to sso software. It reoccured on one after desk side reimaged the machine. No problems till it was reinstalled.

I have the clip on one, neat gadget. Wife has the armband one and doesn't have a problem.

It helps to have a partner/competition.

I just bought a flex. being fat, the large band was too small. An email to CS and they sent me a "fatass" sized band, which fits.

I sort-of like it. the best aspect, for me, is the sleep tracking.

I may have to contact them as well. My wrist isn't fat - I'm just 'big boned.'

The wristband attachment piece is complete shit. How hard would it have been to have it be like a watchband?

I dislike the way it attaches, as well. I found (when I didn't have a band that fit) that putting it in my shirt pocket was as accurate as wearing it on my wrist.

No.  I'm reluctant to rely on its accuracy.  I supposedly walk 5-6 miles a day I find this hard to believe.  I'm an active person but I also run about the same.

typing registers as steps, btw.

I check the accuracy with a GPS when I go for a walk, and my Flex registers between 50 and 80% of the steps. I could see under or over counting a little, but undercounting by half?

No kidding?  I don't type a lot but I have a morbidly obese client who has one (virtual secretary) and I never get as many steps as she does daily.

She should take off the fitbit when she sits down at her desk. I get about two free miles a day from typing if I leave it on.

I drove for 12 hours today - logged over 15,000 steps from road vibration. Too bad you can't edit activity logs like you can weigh-ins.

I didn't even know my wife had to charge hers.  It's the pocket/clip/however it works version.
