I have 2 pairs.

first are the ones that seem to go on and come off about 7 times a night.

I have these Blackhawks in my bag and to tell the truth, I like the HAtch a lot better.

I have the same ones but it offers nothing in terms of pucture or cut resistance - however they do look cool as shit!

+1 on the Hatch's above. I used a set for a year in Iraq, then bought a new set when I got hired as a PO

I use a set of Uncle Mike's neoprene gloves. BUt do you guys wear them when you pat down people and search them? I just seems to me that gloves are pretty unsanitary. I mean at least you can use anti bacterrial stuff once you are done with the call. Not trying to be a germa phobe or anything.

Mechanix Gloves is what i use in my job (Corrections); i also have a pair of Hatch Street Guard glove for patdowns; the last thing i want is to get cut with a shank or a needle; you guys on street patrol know what I mean. You don't know what kind of funk some of these inmates have, so you take all possible precautions what patting down inmates.

I also keep two boxes of nitrile gloves on the trunk of my car and keep a few on my duty rig.

I've been using Mechanics gloves, which I like.  I dept. just issued Hatch and I'm still trying to get use to them.  Very stiff and they don't have the "feel" for searching that I'm use to.  Of course, they offer a lot more protection.  I'm still divided on my overall Hatch experience.

Would you wear these while shooting a handgun? A Glock?

Every pair of LE gloves I have tried on seem that they would be "too bulky" inside the trigger guard and I find this scary.

So I ask and am interested in some feedback for Winter shooting.

I shoot in my gloves all the time.

Most times when I have to clear a building or respond on a family fight I have gloves on, so I better be able to shoot with them.

I wear Hatch Friskmaster Max.  They have been very durable for me.

I ordered a pair of the Oakley SI assault gloves, but the brass won't let me wear them.

I used to work in a army surplus store and officers would come in and order Blackhawk and Hatch.  Both very good gloves.

mattjedi,

"I ordered a pair of the Oakley SI assault gloves, but the brass won't let me wear them."

Just wondering, how the hell do the bosses know what kind of gloves you're wearing?
And, why do they care?
