I'm having an attack of gout. I can't go to the doctor til tomorrow.
Does anyone have any tips to relieve the pain til then. I have some hydrocodone, but they don't seem to help much. |

Cherries? Advil/Motrin? Also, some education on possible heath changes that could/might help prevent future attacks. https://health.google.com/health/ref/Gout |
| I use any NSAID's, List. I took some prescription anti-inflammatory drugs that relieved the pain in about 30 minutes. I never had any luck with "pain relievers" such as Vicodin, etc. I also try and drink as much water possible. Good luck, Gout sucks! |

Colchicine.
ETA: Try naproxen (Aleve, an NSAID) 2 or 2.5 tablets (500mg) twice a day, unless you have kidney problems. Indomethacin (Indocin, another NSAID) is prescription only, I think Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, but I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
