What are you guys using for hard drive diags. Got a toshiba disk, who have no proprietary diags like WD, seagate, and i'm sure is drawing it's last breath, but i want to run a diag to be 100%. So what diags are you using that i can download and run.

You can find all sorts of free software that will use the standard S.M.A.R.T. functions of the disk to check it.

Just for the record, most of them are crap. If your drive is making noise or you're getting SMART/PFA errors, it's certainly very close to dying. Keep backups of your important stuff.
