Let me test my photographic memory.  Is that a Valkyrie?- Yes.

Original uncropped:

Cropped to eliminate some sky:

You may want to find a pic from a different angle (i.e., from the top), so that you can tell it's an XB-70 and not a Concorde or something when it's that small (I'd know, but most won't).

lovely aircraft, isn't she? too bad they only built two and one got bumped out of the sky by the chase plane. i really appreciate the help and am open to trying whichever looks the best. if i had a clue ,just for s&g i would put up a two option poll with a choice between the two. i do think that other shot would frame up better.

I've done some work for a guy who was on the design team of the Valkyrie.

He has a blueprint on his wall with the autograph of the entire design team, and a lithograph with some of the pilot's autographs.

well, that's kind of cool to meet people that got to be in on things like that. very small trade to say the least. that guy would of had to fire me for not wanting to work so that i could talk to him about his days building that. i've decided to go with my first choice. i like it, and those that aren't into aviation wouldn't know from adam what it is no matter which one i used.
makes me wonder which six-pack i like best, 6 carbs on a 426, 6 cold 12oz frosties, or that beautiful 6-pack of turbojets. no contest, jets win every time.

Have you seen the surviving airplane at the USAF Museum?  A pretty slick machine.  Wings did an interesting program about it, too.

little late in the reply, i only get on at work. no i haven't seen it ....yet.this christmas that just went by saw me score 2nd row seating at the dayton airshow, plane tickets, car rental, hotel only 2 miles from the airport. man, i'm beyond psyched for this. seeing as the air force museum is right there, i'll definately be checking it out. i come from modest means and this will be the first airshow of this calibur for me.any airshow that flies the t-birds/blue angels/and snowbirds on the same day is just plain big.
