[ARCHIVED THREAD] - help with pop-ups

Ok guys,
Here is my problem. One of the computers at work all of a sudden is getting SEVERAL pop ups. The user advised she recently signed up for Yahoo email, but canceled it. I have done the following to this XP Dell (home edition)

Used MSCONFIG, nothing unusual
Installed and ran Windows Washer
Installed and ran Ad-Aware (several times)

Windows Washer had plugins installed, and Ad-Aware set to max settings.

This machine is sitting behind a Link-Sys router attached to a cable modem. Problem is isolated to this machine only.

Any ideas?

Also, even when internet explorer is open, pop ups just come alive (like when you have a clear desk top, NO windows open)
